The mid 1920s and the motor car is beginning to make its presence felt, white lines have been painted to mark the spaces for the tour buses.

The drivers are in the white coats, if they were leather then travelling on a warm day could have been interesting.

I presume that the row of vehicles against the Prom are taxis.
