Weymouth
The Convent of The Sacred Heart

One of the most distinctive buildings in Weymouth and one which dominates the skyline behind the railway even today.

Originally home for an order of French nuns. When this card was purchased and sent it was occupied by the wounded from the First World War, the writer is advising his Mother he is in the top room on the right.

After the war it was a boarding school, the Chapel was on the ground floor and as an Altar Boy I served at many a mass there.
